On Sunday 12th April 2009 ten young (and one not so young) people cycled from Richmond to Plaistow crossing all of the London bridges and the Woolwich Ferry to raise approx £1500 towards the Kenya 2009 Experience.
With the District Line closed between Upminster and Embankment the team had to cycle 10 miles before joining the Tube to Richmond. That, and a few wrong turns made the 35 mile route closer to 50!
The participants were Andan Anderson, Jamaal Anderson, Daniel Acott, Tim Bateman, Simeon Burnett, Munya Chidakwa, Daniel Crisp, Matthew Crisp, Clive Furness, Kevin Kiruthi, and Julian Lamothe.
